IN ABSENTIA
L’assenza è per definizione mancanza, lontananza, ma non per questo privazione di contenuti e significato. In una società in cui immagini spersonalizzate e nudità sono all’ordine del giorno e dove la mercificazione del corpo si ripropone quotidianamente in ogni possibile forma, diventa urgente andare oltre l’apparenza. La smaterializzazione della fisicità e del dato tangibile spinge a superare la soglia dell’esteriorità. Il corpo perde la sua forma ma, lasciando anche solo alcune tracce, non smette di essere presente nel desiderio, nel ricordo, nel lutto o nella specificità di ogni individuo. L’assenza del corpo non equivale alla mancanza della persona, ma al contrario rende la sua presenza più intima e ragionata, pertanto più forte e significativa.

IN ABSENTIA
Absence, by definition refers to lack and distance, but it does not mean deprivation of content and meaning. In a society where depersonalized images and nudity are the order of the day and where the commodification of the body recurs daily in every possible expression, it becomes urgent to go beyond the appearances. The dematerialization of physicality and tangible data pushes us to overcome the threshold of exteriority. The body loses its shape but, leaving even just a few traces, it does not cease to be present in the desire, memory, mourning or specificity of each individual. The absence of the body does not mean the absence of a person, but on the contrary it makes the human presence to turn more intimate and reasoned, therefore stronger and more significant.
